OneSteel


The Challenge
One Steel is the largest manufacturer of steel long products and is the leading metals distribution company in Australia.

As market leader in the manufacture and supply of steel to industrial
customers, One Steel recognised the opportunity to develop a retail arm of the business.

The Solution

Evolve Marketing was asked to develop a retail concept, offering a wide range of one steel products in a user friendly environment , more in keeping with a hardware chain operation than heavy industrial steel supplier.

Our role included every aspect of the retail development, from overall concept and layout of the One Steel Many Solutions store, through to designing and installing merchandise fixtures.

Evolves involvement included:
• Development of external signage and overall brand image
for One Steel Many Solutions stores
• Detailed planning of internal layout.
• Development of retail ‘boards’ to simplify product selection/identification.
• Full support on set up and opening of each of the One Steel
Many Solutions Stores.
• Development of complete suite of point of sale to cater for all occasions.

This also needed to be applicable for differently branded outlets in WA called Midalia Steel. Fixtures developed were common amongst the two retail chains to keep costs at a minimum with only superficial signage needing to be changed.
